DISCIPLESHIP FAIR IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello to all the cool people and Catholics out there!

The discipleship fair at our church has been so cool and great! I did the Altar Server booth for a while, but I got bored because our information poster for the group sucks. I mean IT SUCKS. I like the pictures okay, but I don't care for all the biographical stuff on it. I wish that they would take it off. It is so dull and I think it would throw people off on becoming Altar Severs. I mean young men between fifth grade and college aged. They forgot the footballs this year, I am going to bring one tomorrow to spice up the booth. I hope that I am successful. I, also, made new stickers for the booth with the group name (St. John's Altar Guild), an awesome border, and a cool art clip of an old church. I swear it looks like our church! I think that helps a little bit.

Before the whole fair began, I went to Lunch with my family and Mark Shea. Truly it was my mom, dad, me, and Mark Shea to make things clear. We went to a "brewery" restaurant downtown. Our family talked for about an hour about Catholicism with Mark Shea and he had many cool stories about his journey from being an Evangelical to becoming a Catholic. Later, he used those same stories in his lectures. Our family lunch was mentioned a few times in both of them! He was so cool. That is if you like to watch and listen to Catholic apologetics. I think that it is a very strange hobby for 16 year olds like me. I agree, in many ways. But that doesn't hinder me from sharing my faith with others. If you want to know, I had a BBQ sandwich.

Before his first lecture, my Mom bought me three books of his. I read one of them and it was pretty witty. I hope the rest of them are the same way. After the lecture was over, I got the books signed. It was great to see the enthusiasm that he had for the Church!

Dinner was fine, but not the greatest EVER. He did another lecture after dinner and that one was good as well. It mostly consisted of hot dogs and potato chips.

I served mass too. We had five altar servers today. That's about three more than what we usually get! Most of the time there are only two servers. In reality we need four servers to do each mass.

That is why we are having an altar server meeting at our church on Monday. I hope that we have many new boys come to help us and hang out with us with altar serving and the organization as a whole. I am praying for one boy in particular to come help out! :}

Before the day was over, we had a coffee house. There was music and the desserts were very good! I think that I liked the chocolate chip cake the best. The last song the band played was "Daughters" by John Mayer. I have to say that it is a very nice song! John Mayer does a pretty good job in the music business.

Prayer Of The Day:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this very spiritual day today. I pray that people are inspired by this ministry fair. I pray that Mark Shea will inspire others to live their faith more fully. I hope that people who are not active in organizations may find one this weekend to help serve. I pray that many people come tomorrow. I pray that you bless those who are close and friendly to me. Bless St. Mary's parish.

In Christ's Name I Pray, Amen.

"POP UP"- an interesting idea in my head

Hey everyone, sorry about the first few days. I know that they have been very hectic. I think they are great and crazy at the same time. There's something I wish to now reveal- an idea that has been recently clouding up my head. The idea is "POP UP." I am not talking FASHION. I think these two words symbolize what has been happening in my life recently. I feel like my popularity or acceptance among others is rising. This may be good or it may be bad, but I hope it is good for a good reason. Also, these two words represent a title for a future "possible" album that I am thinking about doing. I know that I can sing pretty well, mostly pop, rock and rap and I thought I should name my first album "POP UP." I think that it truly represents who I am. I don't know if I will ever do it, but it's a start. I love my classes and hope that they get better as the year goes on, YES!!!!!

Love You All In Christ,
Christian L.

LAST DAY OF SUMMER VACATION: A REVIEW with special guest MR. SHOUTOUTS

Hello everyone,

Today was the last day of my summer vacation. Yes, it's time to go back to school. It's good and bad, but I'm dealing with it pretty well. This vacation was good. There was so many memories. There was the cruise and my new friends, my beach vacation with Amanda, and all the cool people that I hung out with at the pool. So many days and so many memories. I am glad I did this blog this summer. I have so much that I am able to reflect on. It is a good thing to do because it keeps me busy and out of trouble (I hope.) I think doing a blog is better than having a diary. I feel like I can say what I mean better and record events in a more interesting way. Plus, I will be able to read it when I get older. That makes me feel good because my handwriting sucks. I hope everyone who had summer vacation liked it just as much as I did.

ENJOY YOUR SCHOOL YEAR!

Here are the last of the summer shoutouts this year:

Last day of summer tomorrow!!!!!

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF SUMMER.

I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I am having so much fun and I can't stop! I have talked to so many people that I am very overwhelmed!!!!!!!!! I love to talk a lot, but sometimes all of it goes over my head.

Today I talked a little bit, but a got a whole lot of information from doing so. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL IN TWO DAYS. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! JUST TWO DAYS BEFORE I GO BACK!

I have heard much about World Youth Day from my youth group overseas. There in Cologne, while I am stuck here in America. That would be so cool to see the pope, but World Youth Day started a week after I got back from the cruise. I didn't think I would have enough energy to be able to go. I WAS RIGHT! I do hope to go to World Youth Day in a few years. It sounds like a lot of fun. I can't wait to hear the youth group's assessment of the trip. I think they are going to be very amazing stories.

Youth group is cancelled tomorrow because they will be getting back on Monday. Youth group will resume next Sunday.

During dinner we watched some reruns of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show." I have to tell you that the episodes are hilarious!!!!! The show is so bizarre, yet very comical!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Mychaela, AGAIN!!!!!!!! I hope you enjoyed your birthday entry!!!!!! I can't wait to hear back from you about your special day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PICKED UP MY BOOKS.... NO PROBLEMS WITH SCHEDULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!!!!!!

I went to Mann High today to pick up my textbooks along with paying fees, getting pictures taken, etc. I saw and talked with many of my friends from last year, but I don't know why I felt so weird. I guess it was because I haven't seen them in 3 months and because we haven't talked all summer. I know they went to this blog and never left messages for me. OH WELL. I have no grudges. They must of had better things to do. I'm cool with people who our busy. I'm pretty busy all of the time. I am so glad that I wasn't more busy than I needed to be, since I had no problems with my ID or new schedule. THAT'S A FIRST! Last year's registration was horrible. I had at least three messed up schedules before I got a correct one. It took almost two weeks for them to sort my ID out. That was a very awful beginning to high school. But, this year I feel better about the school and that they continue to PLEASE the students.

I went to the pool for about two hours today. It was so empty. I mean empty. I was so amazed that more people didn't come today. My guess is they all we at back to school parties. Ours had finished over two hours before I left!!!!!! I was lucky. I had the best time, EVER. I actually got to whatever I wanted to do at the pool. But it was all in good humor?!

Anyway, here are some more SUMMER SHOUTOUTS!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy! I am pretty loud when I need to be.

Back to rest of this wonderful, long, interesting/boring (depending on what you think) entry I have today.

Here's a reminder to all sophomores at Mann:

Our orientation times are from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the high school! Don't miss it. It's EXTREMELY important!!!!!!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Now here is the time I release my frustration at stupid people. OK, here I go.

I AM SO MAD AND ANGRY AT WHAT SHEEHAN IS DOING TO OUR TROOPS OVERSEAS. SHE IS BRINGING DOWN MORALE AND SHE IS SENDING THE WRONG MESSAGE ABOUT OUR TROOPS TO OTHER COUNTRIES, WHO ARE NOT OUR ALLIES. SHE MAKES IT SEEM THAT OUR TROOPS ALL WANT TO COME HOME AND THAT THEY ARE ALL AGAINST FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY. THAT IS NOT SO FOR EVERYONE ARMY PERSONNEL. WHEN I WAS COMING BACK FROM OUR CRUISE I MET AND SAW A FEW ARMY TRAINEES WHO SEEMED VERY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THEIR CAUSE FOR FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM. THEY WERE READY FOR ANYTHING AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD DO EVERYTHING TO HELP OUR COUNTRY SURVIVE. THAT'S RIGHT, survive. BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT SHEEHAN PROJECTS. SHE MAKES IT SEEM LIKE OUR UNITED STATES ARMY IS FULL OF COWARDS WHO ARE "PEACE ACTIVIST" OR SO CALLED "PANSIES." THAT IS NOT WHAT I SEE IN MY WORLD PICTURE. I SEE A BUNCH OF SOLDIERS UNITED TOGETHER, WHILE SCATTERED ALL OVER THE WORLD, READY TO DEFEND OUR COUNTRY AND ITS DEMOCRACY OF FREEDOM AT ANY TIME, ANY PLACE, AND AT ANY INSTANT WHERE THERE IS CALL TO HELP OUR COUNTRY, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THAT IS TRUE LOYALTY TO THIS COUNTRY. IF SHEEHAN DOESN'T FEEL THE SAME WAY, SHE SHOULD MOVE TO CANADA OR MEXICO (no offense to the brave residents who live there) WHERE CONDITIONS ARE MUCH HARSHER AND WHERE THE GOVERNMENT IS LESS CARING AND BOLD TO CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FREEDOM. THANKS FOR GOING HOME SHEEHAN. STAY THERE AND ROT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS FOR BEING A LOSER AND A LOUSY "PICKLE" PATRIOT OF THE U.S.A!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for this very "important" message. Anyway now back to our regular programming.

I love being a commentator of the news. It's fun and I think it sort of makes me look intelligent. But, who really cares?!

Last night we had the "Scream Tour" came to town. I didn't go, but my next door neighbor did. I hope he had a lot of fun seeing singers like Bobby Valentino, Omarion, and Houston. I like them too, but I don't really care to see them live.

I know I have said a lot, so I am ending my fabulously long and interesting entry here! I hope that yall keep on bloggin'.

LOVE YOU ALL IN CHRIST,
CHRISTIAN L.

Just resent an important email to cruise buddies

Hello to everyone in Greenville and around the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just resent my first cruise message out to cruise buddies that did not receive it the first time around. I hope you are able to read it now, if possible.

If you can't seem to receive it again, here is a copy of it RIGHT HERE!!!!!!!:
====================================================================

Subject: HERE'S A BIG HELLO TO EVERYONE FROM THE CRUISE!!!!!
Date: 8/9/2005 3:46:22 P.M. Eastern Standard Time
From: Christian L.
To: Everyone On The Cruise

Hey everyone, I hope that your "normal" lives are getting back to you. Mine is and it seems to be slow, but very interesting since I have not been here for a week. I miss you all very much, but this cruise may have been the only time we would ever get to talk to each other. I hope that I did enough to enjoy this vacation, as all of you probably tried to do yourselves. I hope to hear from you within the week. But for some of you it takes time to get used to your own home again. I wish that you all will not do something you wouldn't do to get back in touch. Please take your time with it. I hope that we will all keep in touch in the future and that our communication does not become scarce and severed because this cruise was a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. I may have been the only person you met, but that shouldn't stop you from meeting others on future cruises, if you have the chance to do so. I pray that you enjoyed your cruise and that you have a "vacation" trying to get back to normal life.

Thanks, again, for your great friendships,

Chris, Christian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
====================================================================

THIS IS IT IN FULL.
====================================================================
Anyway, I have been enjoying the last days of summer. I hope you all have too. To those of you back in school, keep up the good work. I will soon be joining you!

I love and miss you all! I can't wait till the next time we all see each other again. KEEP ON BLOGGIN'!

I hope you enjoyed "THE CHRISTIAN L TIMES." I hope to bring it back next summer. I am extremely sorry for any inconveniences I may have caused.

I have been reading the news recently and it is sooo bizarre. The things that have been put in the news recently. There are so many things that I can't talk about them here. There isn't any time to do so in the space limits that I have. I know I can go on and on, but you will get extremely bored if I do so. That is not why I made this blog in the first place. SO THERE.

Sorry, I was just taking a poll so it took me a little while to get back to you all.

HEY HEY HEY SKOOL IS ALMOST HERE

I can't believe that school is almost ready to start. I really didn't like Mann very much when I first attended, but the atmosphere is gaining on me again. I have had so many memories that they will be remembered for a lifetime. I love talking to the world because it shows that I have high hopes for them and myself. If they don't care, I care. It's amazing how much time fame takes to flight. It starts small, but it blossoms each day that you try to make it better. It, sometimes, is great and at other times very humiliating and upsetting. Right now, it's great for me. I seem to know how to handle it.
Thanks for the friendship, honesty, and the GOOD TIMES!

LOVE YOU ALL IN CHRIST,

BEST CRUISE EVER ON "EXPLORER OF THE SEAS"

HEY EVERYONE, I AM BACK FROM A GREAT AND AWESOME CRUISE.

HELLO TO EVERYONE AROUND THE WORLD WHO WAS ON THE CRUISE WITH ME!!!! Hope you all enjoyed my "sweet" moves.

Anyway, I am extremely excited to say that this was the best cruise vacation that I have EVER been one, so far.

It was EVEN better than last year's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a VERY BIG shoutout to everyone who helped me out with giving me a great cruise experience:

1. MY MOTHER
2. CARMEN- WAITER
3. DJORDE- ASSISTANT WAITER
4. NEVELLE- ROOM ATTENDANT
5. VINNO- HEAD WAITER
6. ALL THE PEOPLE IN OPTIX WHO KNOW HOW TO PARTY AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My experience on this cruise was wonderful. There are so many things to say that I truly do not know where to start!!!!!!!!!!

First we drove all the way to Charlotte, NC to catch a plane to Miami, where our family spent a night at a groovy hotel called "The Wave." We ate dinner at a nice restaurant, which I can't remember, and slept very well to the many noisy people outside!

The next day we went to the Spanish mass at St. Francis De Sales, who is, also, my patron saint!!! HOW COOL IS THAT! I didn't understand everything the priest said, but I got most of it. I had taken Spanish classes before, so I knew bits and pieces.

Then, it was finally time to board the ship. From the outside, IT'S HUGE. On the inside, IT'S HUGE. It's huge all around. Anyway, back to the story. When I first got on we got our pics taken and then we had to find our room. It seemed to be a little difficult, but after a few days we got the hang out it. Our room, my brother and mine, was very nice. It looked over the "Royal promenade" where some shops and restaurants were located. There were two parades there and I saw one up close and one from my room. Both were very fun and eye popping.

But that was not all the entertainment on the ship. There was an ice show called "Planet Ice", Two comedians; whom of which have performed with Wayne Newton Gladys Knight; and on such stations as HBO and Comedy Central!!! There was a show called "History Rewritten," which was a musical about past events and customs of world societies. {This show did a really good job in portraying each segment of the past in a nice and very decent way}

NOW YOU'RE ALL ASKING ABOUT THE FOOD?!

It was all extremely tasty and -GOOD-. The dinner's were exquisite and breakfast was so fulfilling that I never had to eat lunch. One day, however, I went to Johnny Rockets and got a burger. By dinner time, I was about to throw up since I didn't burn up all the "burger" calories before I had dinner. I turned out okay.

We had two days at sea, which made the cruise very relaxing. I had many cokes on those days and went to many teen activities, WHICH NO ONE SHOWED UP FOR, but I had fun none the less. On those days I hung out by the pool and played basketball, afterward.

First day not at sea was the day in Belize. We took a van trip to a cave to go cave tubing! We saw the "Sleeping Giant" and got our first Mexico cokes there. Cave tubing was memorable, but our walk was tedious and long. The cave we went through was very amazing. I had never done cave tubing before so this was a very interesting experience for me. I enjoyed our tour guide very much. He cared about the group and he knew all whole lot of interesting facts about Belize.

The next day, we were in Costa Maya. Many beautiful places there! I stubbed my middle toe there and it hurt a lot. IT STILL HURTS BY THE WAY! But I have no problem with it. We got our picture taken there and it is fun to look at it since it was so unexpected.

We did the same thing the next day, but we were in Cozumel. Yes, I think I saw Senor Frogs. But that is no big deal. I still swam around and saw many different interesting fish in the water. I touched a few and a few other splashed me in the face while feeding them. Boy, that was an unforgettable experience. I did get a cool shirt there and there were many other vulgar and funny shirts there, as well.

Grand Cayman was Snuba day for my family. I already remembered the basics from the year before and saw many things under water. I saw reefs, fish, and a very big ship wreck from long ago. Our diver was cool and seemed to enjoy what he was doing.

But the most memorable parts of the cruise was the nightlife. Our family was on a game show one night, but we lost and got 2nd place. We were the "Gadgetors" and we were so wild when we got on. I didn't do very well, but I still had a lot of fun. But many may not remember me on that show, most will remember me from Optix. Optix was the teen nightclub on "Explorer Of The Seas." To those of you who STILL remember, I salute you for that. I did what I loved to do and got many cool friends along the way. I know it seems strange that a white boy knows how to be G. But it can be done, believe me. I've been doing it for almost 7 years now.

There was one night, for my purpose, that I will never forget. It was a song I really loved to dance to and I had the whole freakin' club looking at me. BOY, DID I TURN SOME HEADS AROUND. Dancing to me comes from the heart, you do what you fell, but you shouldn't be off with it. Listen to the lyrics, most of the time they tell you the steps to the song. They may be hard to understand, but you will eventually get the hang of it. I thank all the girls and guys for their support and I hope that support through friendship will carry on throughout our lives.

WOW, so many memories and so little time to share them all.

Another event I remember was the "Hottie Hunt/ Famous People Hunt." My group of friends from London participated and we enjoyed it very much! We found "Paris Hilton," "David Beckham," and "Whitney Houston!" But not really.

We had a Bingo game later on and I got to see them again. I won second place one time and I was close to winning by a point in another game.

That night we had a Karoake contest. Only a girl and I did it and I got a good score. One of which was an 8.5 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gave the girl a 9. She was so much better than me. I performed "Larger Than Life," while she performed, "Man, I Feel Like A Woman."

Another night I saw "School Of Rock," again, and I liked Jack Black more than ever. The same thing there with 2 people. Me and another dude. Halfway through the show the lights came on for no reason. We had to call matinence and by the last 20 minutes the problem was finally solved.

I remember no fights on the ship, until the last day. I was in Optix, as usual, and these two guys started throwing a few punches. It, then, turned to a brawl and Security had to come in and break it up. HOW SCARY IS THAT! The dance continued and another fight broke out and then another. After the last one they closed the club and hour early. By that time it was 1 AM in the morning. It usually went on until 2, but this was an exception. On normal nights the club was open 12 AM- 2 AM. Since this was the last day we got three hours to party from 11 PM- 2AM. But it never really happened. It was sad to have it happen on the last night since it was the last time we would ever see each other, again.

I got about 15 email addresses and I hope I am talking to you at the moment. I miss seeing you and hope that we have much contact this year!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made about 25 copies of my info and 23 of those were given to a few people that I knew. There wasn't that much time to get everyone's email address. But I don't mind.

I was a pimp on this cruise, in a small way. But I wasn't indecent with it, however. I was pretty smooth and cool.

I have another story to tell. One night the teens got to ice skate. I didn't do well at first, but I was really fast at the end. I loved listening to "NOW 16" again and it helped keep me moving throughout the time on the ice. I was the last to leave the ice!!!!!!

Another night was free arcade night. It was fun, but it got extremely boring after a while.

On the last night we were packed and ready to go home. We said our goodbyes and went to bed. But not me, After going out the club, I went around the ship looking for my parents. Security was going up and down the stairs looking for teens that didn't go to their room. They ALMOST caught me, but they never did. I never found my parents and was awake until 2 AM in the morning thinking about the cruise. The pictures. The friends. The memories. I have many pictures from the cruise and I can't wait to see them. I hope all of your who went on the cruise will email some of your pictures of me to see.

On the morning of our departure. I got dressed sorrowfully and went to eat breakfast with a so so smile. I got to see a Carnival ship come into Miami and I laughed so hard at the size of it. It was smaller than our ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We then left the ship and were taxied to Miami International Airport. While trying to find the terminal of departure, my mom called the airport "THE WORST EVER!" We waited almost two hours for our 11 AM flight and arrived in Charlotte two hours later. On the flight there were not many things to do, but seeing the clouds first hand was exciting and amazing. We then got bused to our car and drove back home to Greenville. It took much longer than usual to get home. There were over 4 car wrecks while we were driving. The most that I have ever seen in a day of my life! We got home just in time for the Teen Mass at a local church and were ushered inside very quickly.

I found it very disrespectful for many different reason. But there are too many to list them here. You'll figure it out. I saw a girl and I guy that I knew from past and present schools. I talked to the girl and not to the guy. I was so tired, anyway.

We finally reached our house and got Wedgy's pizza. Then I went to bed, got up, cried about my foot for 30 minutes and got some sleep.

Now I have woken up, eaten some cereal, and wrote another blog entry for you to read.

I love all and have missed all my friends back her in Greenville. I can't wait to see you at the party SOON.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about the cruise and hope that it will bring hope and truth to the world about me all the time.

LOVE YOU ALL IN CHRIST,
CHRISTIAN L.
